Course: Generative Design & AI, Munich University of Applied Sciences

“10,000 nuclear weapons” is a number nobody can picture. We wanted to make it tangible. What would happen if one went off in Munich? How do countries compare? And how do you show something like that responsibly? We built it like a vintage IBM terminal with yellow text, a flickering screen and atmospheric sound, so it feels like sitting in a bunker and opening a secret archive.

There were three of us. I built the weapon picker on the Nuke Map, the CRT look with its glow and the sound, and I worked on the Overkill and How to Survive pages. The course was Generative Design & AI with Dominikus Baur, and we showed the finished app on an old CRT TV.

The moodboard: old terminals, radar screens and vintage computer interfaces in amber, green and cyan

The Nuke Map: choose a location and a weapon, and read what happens when the bomb drops

The boot sequence: diagnostics, defense systems coming online and the classified-access warning

Nuclear warheads per country as stacked bars: Russia and the United States tower over North Korea, Pakistan and the United Kingdom
